Don’t just say what you’re thankful for—write it in gold on a wine bottle to give to your hosts, or give everyone a turn with the paint pen for a fun Friendsgiving activity-turned-easy-centerpiece. Tie on a “Thankful” tag to complete the look. You can even carry the gold theme through to the place settings, using wipe-away wine glass pens to personalize wine glasses so they double as placecards. (Or, choose a permanent paint pen and let guests keep their glasses so they multi-task as favors, too!). It’s a good-as-gold way to show the people you’re grateful for just how much they mean to you, not just at Thanksgiving but all year round. You can even keep the empty wine bottle for flowers or candles after the party.
- Bottle of wine (Elouan Pinot Noir shown here)
- Gold Sharpie or paint pen
- Thankful Tag Template
- Cardstock
- Scissors
- Hole punch
- Ribbon
- Wipe-away pens (For Glasses)
Step 1 Using a metallic Sharpie or paint pen, embellish a wine bottle with friends’ names, reasons why you love them, or anything else that makes you feel grateful. (Or start with a blank bottle and pass the pen around so everyone can join in the lovefest.) If you’re hosting a Friendsgiving meal, go ahead and decorate their glasses, too. (Use wipe-away pens and the names will wash off after the holiday, or stick with your permanent paint pen if you’re giving the glasses as favors.)
Step 2 Download Thankful tag template, print onto cardstock, and cut out tags.
Step 3 Punch a hole at each tag’s end and string onto a length of ribbon to create. Tie the tag onto the neck of your finished wine bottle. Share with friends and give thanks!
Step 4 (Optional): Grab a pen (wipe-away or permanent) and write each guest’s name on a wine glass to set at their place.
