” Paper dolls” style heart chain. Can Wrap around a cake stand, decorate a gift/card or hang as a garland, these paper hearts add a “sweet” touch.
What you’ll need
- 8.5x 11 Paper (red shown here)
- Scissors
- Double-sided tape
Step 1 Cut a strip of paper about 1.25″ wide
Step 2 Fold the paper accordion-style, each fold about half an inch apart
Step 3 Keep the paper folded in a small rectangle and cut up from the bottom corner halfway up the right side, making sure you are not cutting off the folded side. This is making the bottom of your heart.
Step 4 Cut a curve on the top half of your paper so that you’re making the top of the heart, making sure that the cuts don’t intersect and that you’re keeping some folded edge intact.
Step 5 Unfold your paper chain!
Step 6 Repeat steps 1-5 and tape your chains together until your love chain is as long as you desire.
Step 7 Fasten to cake stand or wall or wherever you’re hanging your chain with more double sided tape.
