Bring nature indoors with décor inspired by leaves, whether you’re cutting those shapes out or using those shapes to decorate. With the Cricut Maker Machine’s rotary blade, cutting through delicate paper is made easy with just a few clicks.
Falling Leaves Table Runner
Autumn leaves have fallen from this table runner, leaving a leaf-shaped cutout. These were cut with a Cricut Maker Machine, then scattered across the rest of the table.
What You’ll Need:
- Falling Leaves Template
- Cricut Maker Machine
- Lightweight, gauzy gold paper or tissue
- Scissors
- Doublestick tape
How To:
STEP 1 Download Falling Leaves Table Runner Template and upload to Cricut Design Space.
STEP 2 Using scissors, cut gauzy gold paper into 11X23 sheets—as many as you need to run along the length of your tabletop.
STEP 3 Fit the Rotary blade into the Machine.
STEP 4 Load a sheet of paper into the Cricut Maker Machine, on top of the fabric mat.
STEP 5 Cut leaves using Handmade Paper setting on Cricut Maker Machine.
STEP 6 Peel runner off of the mat, so only leaves remain.
STEP 7 Peel leaves off of mat and set aside to use as confetti.
STEP 8 Repeat steps 4-7 on each remaining sheet of gauzy gold paper.
STEP 9 Attach runner sheets to each other end to end with doublestick tape, and lay runner across the center of your table lengthwise.
STEP 10 Scatter individual leaves between place settings as décor, and bask in the glow of your Thanksgiving table.
