These “paper doll” snowmen gift bags are so cool that the wrapping is as fun as the presents themselves. Lined up in a row holding favors, they make fun holiday party décor—and can even be personalized to match your guests. Is your snowman a tennis player holding a racquet? A doctor with a stethoscope? Or dressed like your whole family?
Cut out the pre-made templates to accessorize your snowmen and color in or use the colors here, or dream up your own extras. This snowy squad is made with food-safe paper bags for gifting cookies, but a brown paper lunch bag works just as well.
These snowmen don’t need to live on bags, either! They can also be a fun snow-day craft made from ingredients you probably already have around the house. String them as a garland, hang on your mantle or doors or facing out in your windows, use as cards or gift tags. You can make it a group activity!
What You’ll Need:
- Frosty Fun Snowman Template
- White cardstock
- Markers (blank template you can color in yourself)
- Scissors
- Double-sided tape or glue
- Ribbon or other trims to decorate (buttons, pom poms, etc.)
- Food-safe paper bag or brown paper lunch bag
- Hole punch
- Thin twig (8 – 10” in length)
How To:
Step 1 Download our Frosty Fun Snowman Template and print onto cardstock. Choose from color or blank designs you can color in yourself. Color in snowman and accessories (if blank) and cut out. If you chose the colored template, just cut out!
Step 2 Dress up Frosty! Use double-sided tape deck out your snowmen in paper accessories . You can also tie a ribbon scarf around the neck—or go wild and add sequins, buttons, pompoms. (For heavier accessories like buttons, glue will work better).
Step 3 Set snowman aside and grab your paper bag. Fill with treats and goodies before folding the top down about one third of the way. Punch two holes at the top of the folded bag, about a ¼ inch under the fold, through the folded layers. The holes should be side by side and one to two inches apart from each other.
