These DIY cherry party cracker favors are wrapped in a band printed with a downloadable design celebrating the summery fruit. They don’t actually make a cracking noise, but they’re the same shape and full of fun treats. They’re an unexpected favor for birthday parties, bridal showers, graduation dinners, summer weddings, or any event that makes you think life is a bowl of cherries!
The fun favors are so easy to make with things you have around the house, like tissue paper and cardboard tubes. Toilet paper tubes work great, or you can cut a paper towel roll in half. If you’re making these as a project or group craft at a playdate, have everyone bring a tube. Or, if you’re making a larger number of crackers, you can order cardboard tubes here. Wrap one in white tissue paper, leaving the ends, fill it with small treats—foil wrapped candies, stickers, temporary tattoos, jokes, or whatever you like—and tie the ends closed. Then cover the body with cheery cherry paper you DIY by printing our cherry design onto cardstock.
Put one party cracker on each plate at a party—write names on top and they double as place cards! Or, line them up on a table as to-go favors. However you use them, they’re the cherry on top of a good time!
