Mother’s Day
This Mother’s Day, honor Mom by crowning her queen for the day! This easy paper tiara is as customizable as you want it to be. You can print out in full color and use our “M-O-M” jewels, or use the black and white version and personalize with her favorite colors or name. And, since the tiara and jewels are printed separately, you can make this your own–which also means it can be used for bridal showers, bachelorettes, graduation, baby showers–any celebration.
Write someone’s nickname on the jewels, or any phrase you like (I <3 You, perhaps?) and it can be a birthday crown or an everyday tiara to make someone feel special.
Decorate the crown however you like–go ahead and get creative! Color with markers, or use any craft supplies and add feathers, pompoms, glitter, sequins–the works! Since there are so many ways to personalize, this can be:
–a bachelorette crown – for just the bride-to-be, or for her whole crew during a night out on the town
–a birthday party activity – everyone decorates a crown, complete with jewels spelling out their name or initials upon arrival
–a graduation party – with school colors and the grad year on the jewels
–a prop in a backyard game of princes and princesses at an after-school playdate
Prop up on toothpicks to use as a cake topper, or line crowns up down the middle of a table for a centerpiece that doubles as a favor (and party costume accessory!).
If you’re not able to celebrate in person, or be there with Mom on Mother’s Day, you can write a sweet message on the band of the tiara and send in the mail as a card.
What you’ll need:
- Tiara and Jewels Template
- Paper or cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue or tape (double-sided works best, but any tape will do)
Step 1 Download, print, and cut out Tiara and Jewels Template.
Step 2 Color in, decorate, and personalize how you like before bringing the two tabs together, forming a circle. If you’re able to measure around for head size first, do, but if you want it to be a surprise, just guess–the band is adjustable! Secure with tape.
