Everyone will be talking turkey when they see this napkin holder. If you can print, cut, and fold a paper fan, you’re good to gobble.
What You’ll Need:
- Turkey’s Tail Template
- 8 ½ X 11 Card stock (white for kids’ table and colored template, or in a shade that matches your décor for the grown-ups)
- Scissors
- Paper napkins for kids’ table (two per turkey—feel free to mix up colors!)
- Linen napkins for adult table (one per turkey, or use two paper napkins)
- Double-sided tape or glue
How To:
Step 1 Download Turkey’s Tail Template. Print colored template onto white paper, and print black and white template onto colored paper.
Optional: Print black and white template onto white paper to make color-your-own-turkeys for the kids’ table.
Step 2 Fold paper in half along the middle dotted line, and cut out along the solid line (the two turkeys will still be attached at the beak).
Step 3 Fold up bottom flaps, fold top flaps over top to create the turkey’s sturdy stand
Step 4 Using double-sided tape or glue, stick the two sides of the turkey body and legs together.
Step 5 Fold the tail tabs along the dotted line.
Step 6 Wrap tabs around to form a circle (where the napkin will go) and tape or glue closed, creating the napkin ring.
Step 7 Accordion-fold one linen napkin or two paper napkins and place the end(s) inside napkin ring. The rest of the napkin will fan out, making the tail.
Step 8 Place a turkey at each plate.
